About the Role

We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Freelance Textbook Designer to design and develop visually engaging, high-quality textbooks and educational learning materials. The ideal candidate should have prior experience working with reputed international publishers or leading publishing houses and a strong understanding of educational content design, typography, layout, and visual communication.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design and layout textbooks, workbooks, teacher manuals, and other educational resources for school students.
- Create visually appealing page layouts, illustrations, diagrams, infographics, tables, and learning activities.
- Ensure designs are age-appropriate, student-friendly, and aligned with the intended curriculum and learning objectives.
- Collaborate with editors, curriculum developers, illustrators, and editorial teams to develop publication-ready content.
- Maintain consistency in typography, colour schemes, formatting, and design guidelines across publications.
- Incorporate editorial feedback and make revisions within agreed timelines.
- Ensure accuracy, print readiness, and adherence to publishing standards.
- Prepare final artwork and files for print and digital publication.





Required Skills and Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Graphic Design, Communication Design, Visual Arts, or a related field.
- Proven experience in textbook design, educational publishing, or book layout and production.
- Prior experience working with international publishers or reputed publishing houses is strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and other relevant design tools.
- Strong understanding of typography, page composition, visual hierarchy, and print production.
- Ability to translate complex educational concepts into explicit, engaging visual layouts.
- Excellent attention to detail, time management, and ability to meet project deadlines.
- A strong portfolio showcasing textbook, workbook, or educational publication projects.

Engagement Details

- Freelance, project-based assignment.
- Remuneration: Negotiable, based on experience, portfolio, and project scope.
- Duration and deliverables: To be finalised based on project requirements.

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
