Job Summary

We are seeking a competent and detail-oriented HVAC Design Engineer to undertake air conditioning system design, heat load calculations, equipment selection, cost estimation, and site coordination for building projects. The candidate will be responsible for developing effective, reliable, and cost-effective HVAC solutions while ensuring compliance with applicable standards, project specifications, and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- HVAC Design & Load Calculations
- Perform heating and cooling load calculations for commercial, residential, and other building projects.
- Design air conditioning systems, including ducting, piping, ventilation, and equipment layouts.
- Prepare HVAC design drawings, schematics, and technical specifications.
- Equipment Selection & Technical Evaluation
- Select appropriate HVAC equipment, including chillers, VRF/VRV systems, AHUs, FCUs, and other air conditioning equipment, as required.
- Coordinate with manufacturers and suppliers to obtain technical specifications, quotations, and equipment submittals.
- Evaluate equipment performance, energy efficiency, and suitability for project requirements.
- Cost Estimation & BOQ Preparation
- Prepare HVAC bills of quantities (BOQs), material take-offs, and cost estimates.
- Obtain and evaluate vendor quotations to identify cost-effective solutions.
- Assist in budgeting, value engineering, and preparation of technical and commercial proposals.
- Site Supervision & Project Coordination
- Oversee HVAC installation activities at project sites to ensure compliance with approved drawings,



specifications, and quality standards.
- Coordinate with site engineers, contractors, consultants, vendors, and other MEP teams to resolve technical issues.
- Monitor installation progress, workmanship, material usage, and adherence to project schedules.
- Site Meetings & Technical Documentation
- Attend site meetings, client meetings, and consultant coordination meetings as required.
- Address technical queries, review site conditions, and recommend appropriate design modifications where necessary.
- Review shop drawings, material submittals, and installation details.
- Assist with testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and project handover documentation.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant discipline.
- Knowledge of HVAC design principles, cooling load calculations, and air conditioning system selection.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD; familiarity with HVAC design and load calculation software is preferred.
- Understanding of HVAC BOQs, cost estimation, equipment specifications, and installation practices.
- Strong coordination, communication, problem-solving, and site management skills.
- Ability to work independently on design assignments while coordinating effectively with project teams.

Preferred Candidate: An engineer capable of handling HVAC projects from initial design and costing through site execution, coordination, and commissioning.

Pay: ₹11,000.00 - ₹46,000.00 per month
