For a Construction & Interiors company, the Purchase role should focus not only on buying materials but also on site coordination, vendor management, rate negotiation, timely delivery, and cost control.

Purchase Executive – Construction & Interiors

Job Responsibilities:

* Handle complete purchase activities for construction and interior projects.

* Collect material requirements from site supervisors/project coordinators and arrange materials as per project schedule.

* Source and develop reliable vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors.

* Obtain quotations, compare rates, negotiate prices, and finalize suppliers as per company requirements.

* Purchase construction and interior materials such as civil materials, steel, cement, hardware, electrical, plumbing, sanitary, tiles, stone, plywood, laminates, glass, paints, POP, etc.

* Ensure materials are purchased as per approved specifications, brands, quality, and quantity.

* Coordinate with vendors for timely delivery at respective project sites.

* Follow up on pending materials, orders, dispatches, and deliveries.

* Maintain Purchase Orders (POs), quotations, invoices, delivery challans, and purchase records.

* Coordinate with accounts and project teams regarding bills, payments, and vendor outstanding.

* Check market rates regularly and maintain a database of current material prices.





* Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or project requirements.

* Resolve issues related to wrong quantity, quality, damaged materials, shortages, and delayed deliveries.

* Maintain vendor performance records and develop alternate suppliers for critical materials.

* Ensure all purchases are properly approved and documented before ordering.

* Prepare daily/weekly purchase status reports and highlight urgent or delayed requirements to management.

Key Skills Required:

* 5-7 years of experience in construction/interior purchase.

* Good knowledge of construction and interior materials.

* Strong negotiation and vendor-management skills.

* Good knowledge of Delhi/NCR and local material markets.

* Ability to compare quotations and understand specifications.

* Strong follow-up and coordination skills.

* Valuable knowledge of MS Excel, email and basic ERP/purchase software.

* Ability to handle multiple projects and urgent site requirements simultaneously.

Preferred: Experience with contractor/vendor-based construction projects and multiple running sites.

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹38,000.00 per month
