Job Summary

APM Group Companies is looking for an experienced and highly skilled Planning Engineer with a minimum of 10 years of experience in civil construction and project planning. The candidate will be responsible for developing project schedules, monitoring progress, managing resources, coordinating with project teams, and ensuring timely completion of construction projects within budget and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, timelines, and execution plans.
- Prepare project planning schedules using Primavera P6 and MS Project.
- Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly project progress against planned schedules.
- Prepare project baseline schedules, look-ahead plans, and progress reports.
- Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, contractors, and consultants.
- Identify project delays and develop corrective action and recovery plans.
- Conduct resource planning, manpower allocation, and material scheduling.
- Monitor project milestones and ensure timely completion of activities.
- Prepare project progress reports, MIS reports, and management presentations.
- Perform critical path analysis and identify scheduling risks.
- Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure timely availability of materials.
- Track project costs, budgets, and resource utilization.




- Participate in project review meetings and provide planning updates to management.
- Ensure project execution aligns with approved drawings, specifications, and contractual requirements.

Required Skills

- Minimum 10 years of experience in civil construction project planning.
- Solid proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Project.
- Excellent knowledge of project scheduling and monitoring.
- Experience in baseline scheduling, resource planning, and progress tracking.
- Strong understanding of Critical Path Method (CPM).
- Knowledge of construction project management and cost control.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and project reporting.
- Strong analytical, communication, and coordination skills.
- Ability to manage multiple project schedules and deadlines.

Educational Qualification

- B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering.
- M.E. / M.Tech in Construction Management or Project Management will be an added advantage.
- PMP certification will be an added advantage.

Preferred Candidate

- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in civil construction planning.
- Experience in residential, commercial, industrial, or infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of Primavera P6, MS Project, and project monitoring.
- Experience in handling large-scale construction projects.
- Candidates based in Bangalore are preferred.
- Immediate joiners or candidates with a short notice period are preferred.
