Role: Kindergarten Teacher

Experience:2 - 7 Years

Location: sholinganallur, Chennai

Roles & Responsibilities

Teaching and Learning

- Plan and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and classroom activities.
- Teach foundational literacy, numeracy, language, environmental awareness, and life skills.
- Use play-based, activity-based, and experiential teaching methods.
- Develop children's creativity, communication, problem-solving, and independent learning skills.

Classroom Management

- Maintain a disciplined, inclusive, and child-friendly classroom environment.
- Establish daily routines and encourage positive behavior.
- Ensure children's safety, hygiene, and well-being during classroom activities and transitions.

Student Assessment and Development

- Observe and assess children's learning progress and developmental milestones.
- Maintain student portfolios, assessment records, and progress reports.
- Identify learning difficulties and provide appropriate support.
- Encourage participation, confidence, social interaction, and emotional development.

Parent Communication

- Communicate regularly with parents regarding children's progress, behavior, and development.
- Conduct parent-teacher meetings and share constructive feedback.
- Address parent concerns professionally and in coordination with the school management.

Academic Planning and Coordination

- Prepare teaching materials, worksheets, learning aids, and classroom displays.
- Coordinate with fellow teachers and the academic team to implement the curriculum.
- Participate in school events, celebrations, assemblies, and co-curricular activities.




- Support curriculum development and contribute innovative teaching ideas.

Mentoring and Leadership

- Guide and mentor junior kindergarten teachers and classroom assistants.
- Share effective teaching practices and classroom management techniques.
- Support academic coordinators in monitoring teaching quality and curriculum implementation.
- Help maintain consistent teaching standards across kindergarten classes.

Documentation and Compliance

- Maintain attendance registers, lesson plans, student records, and assessment documentation.
- Follow school policies, child protection guidelines, and health and safety procedures.
- Ensure confidentiality of student and parent information.

3. Experience

- 2-7 years of experience in kindergarten or pre-primary teaching.
- Experience in mentoring teachers, lesson planning, and student assessment is preferred.

4. Key Skills and Competencies

- Robust classroom management and lesson-planning skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Creativity, patience, empathy, and a child-centered approach.
- Knowledge of early childhood development and play-based learning.
- Ability to assess student progress and support diverse learning needs.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹49,000.00 per month
