1. Job Summary

Boun Fasteners LLP is looking for a skilled and responsible Heat Treatment Furnace Operator to operate and monitor our continuous mesh-belt furnace used for the heat treatment of fasteners. The candidate should have practical knowledge of furnace operations, temperature control, process parameters, quality standards, and industrial safety procedures.

2. Key Responsibilities

- Operate and monitor the continuous mesh-belt heat treatment furnace.
- Set and control furnace temperature, belt speed, and other process parameters as per production requirements.
- Perform heat treatment processes such as through hardening, tempering, stress relieving, and thermal blackening.
- Monitor furnace atmosphere, gas supply, and process conditions to ensure consistent product quality.
- Understand and monitor furnace instruments, temperature controllers, oxygen probes, and carbon potential (CP) meters, wherever applicable.
- Maintain proper heating, quenching, tempering, and cooling cycles as per process requirements.
- Check the quality and hardness of heat-treated fasteners as per specifications.
- Maintain daily production reports, furnace logs, temperature records, and process documentation.
- Identify abnormalities and troubleshoot routine furnace operating problems.
- Coordinate with the quality control and production teams to ensure smooth operations.
- Follow safety procedures and maintain cleanliness and discipline in the work area.
- Perform routine inspection and basic maintenance of the furnace and associated equipment.

3. Qualifications and Experience

- ITI,



Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgy, or a relevant technical field is preferred.
- 2–5 years of practical experience in heat treatment furnace operation is preferred.
- Experience with continuous mesh-belt furnaces used for fasteners or automotive components will be an added advantage.
- Candidates with relevant hands-on experience and technical knowledge may also apply.

4. Required Technical Skills

- Knowledge of heat treatment processes, including through hardening, tempering, stress relieving, and thermal blackening.
- Understanding of furnace temperature control and belt-speed adjustment.
- Knowledge of industrial gas systems, including LPG, natural gas, and methanol-based furnace atmospheres, as applicable.
- Familiarity with Eurotherm controllers, oxygen probes, CP meters, and other furnace monitoring instruments is preferred.
- Ability to identify process deviations and perform basic troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of hardness testing and heat-treated product quality requirements is desirable.
