Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and responsible Printing Machine Operator to operate and monitor printing machines used for printing paperboard and packaging materials. The candidate should ensure print quality, colour accuracy, machine performance, and timely completion of production jobs as per customer specifications.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate and monitor printing machines for mono cartons and other packaging materials.
- Set up the machine according to the job card, approved artwork, and production specifications.
- Perform machine setting, register adjustment, ink setting, and colour matching.
- Ensure correct substrate, GSM, size, ink, and job details before starting production.
- Check print quality, colour consistency, registration, text clarity, barcode readability, and other specified requirements.
- Monitor printing quality during production and take corrective action for printing defects.
- Maintain proper ink usage, material identification, and job-wise traceability.
- Coordinate with the Quality Department for first-piece approval and in-process inspection.
- Minimize material wastage, rejection, and machine downtime.
- Maintain production records, machine checklists, and job card details.
- Follow approved SOPs, work instructions, GMP, safety requirements,



and housekeeping practices.
- Report machine breakdowns, quality issues, and abnormalities to the supervisor.
- Ensure proper cleaning and maintenance of the machine, printing units, and associated equipment after production.
- Coordinate with the production team to achieve daily production targets.

Required Qualifications

- ITI / Diploma in Printing Technology, Mechanical, or a related field is preferred.
- Relevant experience in printing machine operation, preferably in the printing and packaging industry.
- Knowledge of flexographic printing, ink handling, colour matching, and print registration is an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of production records, job cards, and quality inspection.

Experience
