About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Piping Engineer with robust experience in Oil & Gas and Petrochemical Projects.

The candidate will be responsible for piping engineering, site execution, installation, inspection, coordination, and supervision of piping activities. The role requires strong knowledge of piping systems, drawings, specifications, material requirements, and coordination with contractors, vendors, consultants, and project teams.

Oil & Gas / Petrochemical Project experience is mandatory.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage day-to-day piping engineering and site execution activities for Oil & Gas and Petrochemical projects.
- Supervise and coordinate piping installation, erection and construction activities at site.
- Review and interpret piping drawings, isometrics, layouts, P&IDs; and specifications.
- Ensure piping work is executed as per approved drawings, specifications, project standards and applicable codes.
- Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, vendors, consultants and project teams for piping activities.
- Monitor piping fabrication, erection, installation, alignment and fit-up activities.
- Ensure proper execution of piping supports, valves, fittings, flanges and associated piping components.
- Coordinate with construction teams for equipment and piping interface activities.
- Monitor site progress and ensure piping activities are completed as per the project schedule.
- Check and verify material availability, piping materials, fittings, valves and supports required for execution.
- Coordinate with QA/QC teams for inspection, testing and quality requirements.
- Ensure piping activities comply with approved method statements, ITPs and project specifications.
- Coordinate and support hydro testing, pressure testing, flushing and other piping-related testing activities.
- Identify site issues,



design discrepancies and construction constraints and coordinate with engineering teams for resolution.
- Prepare and maintain daily progress reports, inspection records and piping-related documentation.
- Monitor contractor performance and ensure proper manpower and resources are deployed for piping activities.
- Coordinate with Mechanical, Civil, Structural, Electrical, Instrumentation and other disciplines for smooth project execution.
- Ensure compliance with project safety procedures, HSE requirements and site work practices.
- Monitor work progress and provide regular updates to the project management team.
- Support project teams in achieving quality, safety, schedule and execution targets.

Qualifications & Skills

- Diploma / B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
- Strong experience in Piping Engineering / Piping Construction / Site Execution.
- Oil & Gas / Petrochemical Project experience is mandatory.
- Good knowledge of piping installation, erection, fabrication and construction activities.
- Strong knowledge of P&IDs;, piping layouts, isometric drawings and piping specifications.
- Experience in piping supports, valves, fittings, flanges and piping components.
- Knowledge of piping testing, hydro testing, flushing and commissioning activities.
- Ability to coordinate with contractors, vendors, consultants and multidisciplinary project teams.
- Good understanding of piping materials, specifications and construction standards.
- Strong knowledge of site execution and construction practices.
- Ability to monitor project progress and resolve site-related technical issues.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel and MS Office.
- Strong communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.
- Candidates with hands-on experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refinery and Industrial Projects will be preferred.
