Job Purpose:

To operate, monitor, and maintain Diesel Generator (DG) sets safely and efficiently, ensuring uninterrupted power supply and proper functioning of DG equipment.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate and monitor DG sets as per company SOP and operational requirements.
- Check DG parameters such as voltage, current, frequency, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and fuel level.
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance of DG sets.
- Check diesel, engine oil, coolant, batteries, and other essential components.
- Maintain DG logbooks, running hours, diesel consumption, and maintenance records.
- Monitor DG synchronization and load sharing, where applicable.
- Coordinate with the electrical and maintenance team during breakdowns and troubleshooting.
- Identify abnormal noise, vibration,



overheating, leakage, and other faults.
- Ensure proper functioning of AMF/ATS panels and associated electrical systems, where applicable.
- Follow electrical safety procedures, PPE requirements, and lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures.
- Maintain housekeeping in the DG room and ensure compliance with fire and safety requirements.
- Report faults, breakdowns, and abnormal operating conditions to the supervisor.
