Job Overview

The Staff Nurse is responsible for delivering high-quality, compassionate clinical care to patients receiving fertility and reproductive treatments. The nurse works closely with IVF consultants, embryologists, and the front-office team to ensure seamless patient care.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

1. Direct Patient Care & Assessment

* Provide nursing care to patients undergoing fertility treatments (such as IVF, IUI, and ICSI).

* Assess patients prior to consultations, monitor vital signs, and continuously observe clinical conditions.

* Provide appropriate pre-procedure and post-procedure nursing care and recovery support.

* Identify and promptly report any adverse reactions or emergencies to the consulting doctors.

2. Treatment & Procedure Assistance

* Administer prescribed medications, hormone injections, and IV therapies accurately.

* Prepare patients for clinical investigations, ultrasounds, and surgical procedures.

* Actively assist IVF specialists and gynecologists during clinical examinations, laparoscopies, hysteroscopies, and fertility-related procedures.

* Support medication schedules and help coordinate the complex treatment cycles for patients.

3. Patient Education & Counseling

* Educate patients and their families about treatment plans, medication timing, and self-administration of injections.

* Communicate clearly about upcoming appointments and post-care instructions.

* Maintain patient privacy, dignity, and strict confidentiality regarding reproductive health data.





4. Clinical Operations & Safety

* Strictly follow the centre's Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), clinical protocols, and patient safety standards.

* Maintain rigorous infection prevention protocols and aseptic practices in clinical areas.

* Prepare and maintain required clinical equipment, ensuring the readiness of nursing supplies and emergency medicines.

* Coordinate with the embryology lab, pharmacy, and front office teams for patient requirements.

* Maintain accurate nursing records, treatment-related documentation, and participate in shift handovers.

Requirements & Qualifications

Education:BSc in Nursing or GNM (General Nursing and Midwifery) from a recognized institution.

Licensing: Valid registration with the State Nursing Council.

Experience: 0 to 5 years of post-qualification experience in a hospital or clinical setting (Prior experience in Obstetrics/Gynecology, IVF clinics, or critical care is a strong advantage).

Key Skills:

Proficiency in administering injections, IV therapies, and monitoring vitals.

Knowledge of ART (Artificial Reproductive Technology) procedure assistance is highly preferred.

Empathetic communication and patient counseling skills.

Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary healthcare team.
