Job Summary

We are looking for a Solar Project Engineer with 3+ years of experience in rooftop solar projects to manage and coordinate the complete execution of rooftop solar PV projects from site survey and planning through installation, testing, commissioning, and handover.

The candidate should have strong practical knowledge of rooftop solar installation, electrical systems, structural requirements, site execution, and project coordination.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct detailed rooftop site surveys and assess site conditions for solar PV installation.
- Prepare and review rooftop solar layouts, module arrangements, string layouts, SLDs, and cable routing plans.
- Coordinate with design and engineering teams for preparation of project drawings and technical documents.
- Check rooftop conditions, available area, access, shading, drainage, and other site-specific requirements.
- Coordinate and supervise installation of solar modules, mounting structures, inverters, DC/AC cables, DBs, earthing, lightning protection, and related equipment.
- Coordinate structural requirements for rooftop mounting systems and identify any structural or installation constraints.
- Manage day-to-day site activities and ensure work is completed as per approved drawings and project schedules.
- Coordinate with installation teams, subcontractors, electricians, structural teams, vendors, and clients.
- Monitor project progress and ensure timely completion of assigned activities.
- Ensure proper installation practices and compliance with project specifications and safety requirements.
- Inspect installation works and coordinate with the QA/QC team for quality inspections.
- Carry out or coordinate testing and commissioning of rooftop solar PV systems.
- Coordinate grid synchronization/net-metering-related requirements with the concerned utility/distribution authority wherever applicable.
- Prepare daily/weekly progress reports, site reports, material requirements,



and project documentation.
- Identify site issues and provide practical technical solutions in coordination with the engineering team.
- Coordinate with clients regarding project requirements, site access, work schedules, technical issues, and project completion.
- Ensure all changes, modifications, and deviations at site are properly documented and approved.
- Support project handover by ensuring completion of documentation, testing reports, drawings, and other required records.

Required Qualifications

- B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Electrical Engineeringor related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in rooftop solar project execution.
- Strong practical knowledge of rooftop solar PV systems.
- Experience in handling residential, commercial, industrial, or institutional rooftop solar projects.
- Ability to read and understand SLDs, electrical drawings, rooftop layouts, structural drawings, and technical specifications.
- Knowledge of solar module mounting structures and rooftop installation methods.
- Good understanding of DC and AC electrical systems, inverters, cables, earthing, lightning protection, and protection systems.
- Knowledge of rooftop safety and safe working practices.
- Valuable coordination and communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, AutoCAD, and other relevant project/design software.
- Willingness to travel to project sites as required.

Preferred Skills

- Experience in executing commercial and industrial rooftop solar projects.
- Experience in projects involving multiple rooftops or large-capacity rooftop installations.
- Knowledge of net metering and utility approval processes.
- Experience in coordinating with electrical contractors and installation teams.
- Knowledge of rooftop structural assessment and mounting systems.
- Experience in testing and commissioning of solar PV systems.
- Ability to independently manage site activities and resolve execution-related issues.

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
