We are looking for an experienced and technically sound Floor Supervisor to oversee daily workshop operations at our Puri location. The ideal candidate will manage workshop technicians, supervise repair and maintenance jobs, ensure quality control, and maintain high efficiency on the service floor.
Key Responsibilities
- Floor & Workshop Supervision: Oversee day-to-day operations on the workshop floor to ensure smooth workflow, timely completion of jobs, and productive labor utilization.
- Job Delegation & Quality Control: Assign vehicle repair tasks to technicians/mechanics and perform quality checks on finished work before final delivery to clients.
- Diagnostic & Technical Assistance: Guide workshop staff on complex mechanical and electrical diagnostic issues using technical knowledge.
- Workflow & Productivity Management: Monitor job cards, estimate job turnaround times, and coordinate with service advisors to ensure customer commitments are met.
- Safety & Standards Compliance: Enforce workshop safety protocols, maintain tools and equipment in good working order,
and ensure clean and organized work bays.
- Inventory & Spare Parts Coordination: Coordinate with the spare parts department to ensure necessary components are available for ongoing vehicle servicing.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Educational Qualification: Diploma or B.Tech / B.E. in Mechanical Engineering or Automobile Engineering.
- Experience: 2 to 3 years of hands-on supervisory experience in an automotive dealership, workshop, or service station environment.
- Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of automobile systems, mechanical assemblies, diagnostics, and repair procedures.
- Leadership & Communication: Strong floor management, team coordination, and communication skills in Odia and Hindi/English.
