JOB DESCRIPTION

A Supervisor in a manufacturing or industrial setting—combining production supervision, painting/surface coating oversight, and machinery/warping machine assembly or operations—oversees shop-floor activities, quality control, worker safety, and equipment performance.

Job Title: Production / Shop Floor Supervisor (Paint & Warping Machine Operations)

· Reports To: Plant Manager / Operations Head

· Supervises: Machine Operators, Painters, Assembly Workers, Helpers

Core Responsibilities

· Production Planning & Execution:

o Execute daily/weekly shift production and assembly schedules for warping machines and painted components to meet delivery targets.

o Allocate manpower, plan shift rotations, and monitor line output against targets.

· Paint & Surface Coating Oversight:

o Supervise liquid spray coating, priming, powder coating, or finishing operations on machine frames and parts.

o Monitor paint viscosity, film thickness, curing/oven temperatures, and spray parameters to prevent defects like orange peel, runs, or color variations.

o Manage paint, solvent, and consumable inventory to minimize wastage.

· Warping Machine Assembly & Mechanical Oversight:

o Oversee the mechanical setup, alignment, and sub-assembly of warping machinery (textile/industrial preparation machinery).

o Inspect machined parts, tension devices, beam stands, and electrical/mechanical controls for accuracy against engineering blueprints and specifications.

· Quality Control & Compliance:

o Enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and conduct in-process quality checks.

o Coordinate with the Quality Assurance (QA)



team for first-piece approval and final pre-dispatch inspections.

· Equipment & Maintenance Coordination:

o Monitor machine and spray booth performance, track downtime, and log minor breakdowns.

o Coordinate with the maintenance department for preventive maintenance and urgent repairs.

· Safety, Housekeeping & Discipline:

o Enforce workplace safety rules, proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), chemical/solvent handling protocols, and fire safety compliance.

o Maintain 5S standards (sort, set in order, shine, standardize, sustain) and shop-floor discipline.

· Reporting & Team Training:

o Maintain daily production logs, material usage records, and attendance reports.

o Train new operators and workers on safe machine operation, painting techniques, and quality standards.

Required Qualifications & Skills

· Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or Industrial Technology.

· Experience: 3 to 6 years of supervisory experience in a heavy or light machinery manufacturing plant with integrated paint/surface finishing operations.

· Package: 3.00 LPA

· Technical Skills:

o Ability to read mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and paint specs.

o Familiarity with industrial painting/coating equipment and warping or general textile/mechanical machinery assembly.

o Basic computer literacy (MS Excel, ERP/production tracking software).

· Soft Skills:

o Leadership, team management, and conflict-resolution abilities.

o Problem-solving and root-cause analysis for quality or machine defects.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹28,000.00 per month
