Job Description

Shah and Doshi, Chartered Accountants is hiring an experienced Senior Accountant with strong practical knowledge of accounts finalisation, financial statements, taxation and auditing. We are looking for a technically sound professional capable of independently handling client accounting assignments, conducting audits, reviewing financial records and guiding junior team members.

Candidate Requirements

- B.Com / M.Com / BAF or equivalent accounting qualification
- Preferably 5+ years of practical experience in accounting, finalisation and audits
- Strong accounting fundamentals and independent accounts finalisation experience are mandatory
- Practical experience in statutory audits, tax audits and/or internal audits
- Sound knowledge of Accounting Standards, Companies Act requirements and applicable auditing procedures
- Proficiency in Tally / TallyPrime and MS Excel
- Working knowledge of GST, TDS and Income Tax provisions
- Ability to prepare and review financial statements, reconciliations and audit working papers
- Experience in client coordination and supervising junior accountants
- Previous CA firm experience strongly preferred

Roles and Responsibilities

- Independently handle accounting and finalisation assignments for multiple clients
- Prepare and review Balance Sheets, Profit & Loss Accounts and supporting schedules
- Review trial balances, closing entries, depreciation, provisions and other accounting adjustments
- Conduct statutory audits, tax audits and internal audits as assigned
- Perform ledger scrutiny, substantive verification and audit testing
- Prepare audit working papers, identify discrepancies and document audit observations
- Review bank, debtors, creditors, GST,



TDS and other account reconciliations
- Assist in preparation of audit reports, financial statement disclosures and tax audit documentation
- Coordinate with clients for financial information, audit queries and compliance requirements
- Review work performed by junior accountants and provide technical guidance
- Ensure timely completion of accounting, finalisation and audit assignments

Position Details

- Working Days: Monday to Saturday
- Working Hours: 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM
- Paid Leave: 2 days per month
