Job Overview

ABS Enterprises is looking for an experienced and proactive Production Manager to oversee and direct day-to-day workshop and site fabrication operations. In this role, you will be responsible for managing production schedules, workflow efficiency, quality control, labor, and resources for steel structures, retractable roofs, general fabrication, and warehouse construction projects.

Key Responsibilities1. Day-to-Day Production Management

- Plan, organize, and manage daily production schedules across workshop and project sites.
- Ensure all fabrication activities (steel structures, retractable roofs, structural framework) are executed according to approved engineering drawings and timelines.
- Monitor workshop workflow to eliminate bottlenecks, minimize downtime, and maximize output efficiency.

2. Quality Control & Safety

- Enforce strict quality assurance standards for structural welding, assembly, coating/painting, and final fabrication.
- Ensure compliance with site safety standards, proper machinery handling, and personal protective equipment (PPE) protocols.
- Inspect incoming raw materials (steel sections, plates, hardware) and outgoing fabricated assemblies.

3. Team Supervision & Resource Allocation

- Lead and supervise fabricators, welders,



technicians, machine operators, and site teams.
- Assign daily tasks and manage team performance, shift scheduling, and productivity.
- Coordinate with project engineers and management to align material procurement with production timelines.

4. Maintenance & Material Management

- Oversee material utilization to minimize structural steel scrap and wastage.
- Ensure regular preventive maintenance of fabrication machinery (cutting, bending, welding machines, cranes).

Key Qualifications & Skills

- Education: Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience in structural steel fabrication, warehouse construction, heavy metal fabrication, or retractable roofing systems.
- Technical Skills:
- Ability to read and interpret complex structural engineering drawings and shop drawings.
- Strong knowledge of welding techniques (MIG/TIG/Arc), structural cutting, assembly, and erection processes.
- Leadership & Communication: Excellent team management, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
