As a CloudOps Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the availability, reliability, and performance of HotelKey's production systems running on AWS. You will be part of an operations team that handles production monitoring, incident handling, and operational tasks around the clock, working in 24x7 rotational shifts to support a globally distributed customer base.

In this role, you will perform production monitoring and promptly respond to incidents, following standard operating procedures while independently troubleshooting basic issues. You will use your knowledge of SQL to run queries, filter data, perform joins, and retrieve information from relational databases, with a working understanding of MySQL. You will write and maintain automation scripts in Shell or Python (with Python preferred) to streamline operational workflows and reduce manual effort.





You will work with AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, CloudWatch, Lambda, IAM, and VPC, monitoring cloud resources and ensuring they run optimally. You will apply your understanding of Linux fundamentals and commands for day-to-day server administration and troubleshooting. You will assist with infrastructure as code using basic Terraform knowledge, and collaborate with the wider engineering team on configuration and change management.

You will be a quick learner with a proactive approach, demonstrating good communication and team collaboration skills. You will follow SOPs while independently troubleshooting issues, escalating complex problems to senior team members when required. You will analyze and resolve operational issues, keeping stakeholders informed of progress and resolution, and continuously build your expertise in AWS Cloud operations and Site Reliability Engineering. You will have opportunities to grow into a strong CloudOps and SRE qualified with exposure to real production systems serving hotels around the world.

Requirements

- B.E., B.Tech, BCA, B.Sc (IT/CS), MCA, or an equivalent qualification
- Minimum 60 percent throughout academics




- Freshers with strong fundamentals and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply
- Comfortable working in 24x7 rotational shifts
- Good knowledge of SQL including queries, filtering, joins, and data retrieval
- Working knowledge of scripting in Shell or Python (Python preferred)
- Awareness of AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, CloudWatch, Lambda, IAM, and VPC
- Good understanding of Linux fundamentals and commands
- Basic knowledge of Terraform or Infrastructure as Code
- Good analytical and troubleshooting skills

Preferred

- AWS Cloud Practitioner or Solutions Architect Associate certification
- Hands-on cloud or Linux projects or internships
- Basic knowledge of Git and monitoring or alerting tools
- Strong interest in building a career in AWS Cloud and SRE
