Your Role:
• Own and manage an allocated slice of the performance marketing budget with real accountability for its results, rolling up to the Head of Growth's overall strategy - Meta and Google performance advertising fundamentals are the base of this role
• Own creative strategy and production for performance marketing channels; track and understand social and cultural trends, i.e. what's working, what's not, what's genuinely on-point versus off and translate that directly into sharper performance-centered creative strategy, audience cohorts, and funnels (Instagram ads, boosted posts, boosted reels) that convert, not content for its own sake.
• Translate the overarching growth strategy into tactical execution across social and community initiatives; rigorously filter brand relevance efforts from performance-driven player acquisition, establishing transparent analytics frameworks to evaluate impact
• Ideate & plan growth strategy across community-adjacent channels like Discord,
working with Customer Support on leveraging community as a channel; this is about judgment and rigor applied to community as a scaling channel, not owning it as a standalone creative deliverable.
• Report on blended performance and social/community metrics, feeding results back into the Head of Growth's testing framework
Must Have:
• Typically, this role would require 3-5 years of hands-on performance marketing execution (Meta/Google campaign setup and optimization) with direct accountability for an allocated budget - this is the fundamental base of the role
• Sharp, demonstrated fluency in social and cultural trends - the instinct to track what's actually working across platforms and translate it into performance creative and targeting, not just content production
• A real point of view on cohorting and audience segmentation - comfortable defining who a piece of content or a campaign is actually for, and why
• Native fluency with Gen Z digital and gaming culture - sharp enough to judge what's on
