We're hiring: Copywriter
Area 83, Indiranagar, Bengaluru
Area 83 is an adventure park just outside Bengaluru. We also run AURA, Dune Villas, Fit District and Slyy's. That's five brands, and every one of them needs words. Right now most of those words get written in a hurry, by people whose actual job is something else.
We want someone who'll own them.
You'll write the line on a highway hoarding that someone reads at 60 km/h. The caption under a zipline reel. The email that gets a 200-person corporate offsite to pick us over a resort in Coorg. The menu card at Slyy's. On a normal day that's a dozen small jobs across four or five brands, and most of it goes live the same day you write it.
What you'll do
- Write daily social copy: captions, carousel slides, reel scripts and hooks
- Write hoardings, standees, signage and print collateral that work in five words or fewer
- Draft sales decks, proposals and emailers for weddings, corporate offsites and school trips
- Write website and landing page copy, and keep it current
- Give each brand its own voice. Area 83 shouldn't sound like AURA,
and Slyy's shouldn't sound like either of them
- Work with our designers on concepts, so the headline and the visual get made together
What we're looking for
- 2 to 4 years writing for a brand, an agency or a hospitality/F&B; business
- A portfolio of work that actually ran. Spec work is fine, but show us what went live
- Sharp, clean English. Hindi or Kannada is a real plus for regional campaigns
- You can write a punchy one-liner and a 600-word proposal in the same afternoon
- You take edits well and you can tell when a line isn't working
Positive to have
- Scriptwriting for short-form video
- Basic SEO or some experience writing for search
- Any experience in events, travel, food or entertainment
How to apply
Send your CV and 3 to 5 pieces of work that actually ran to
[email protected]. Then add one thing: rewrite any line from our Instagram, and tell us why yours is better. Applications
