We are seeking a proficient and motivated Mechanical Design Engineer with robust expertise in CAD tools such as Siemens NX and PLM Teamcenter. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in mechanical engineering principles and demonstrate excellent CAD modeling and drafting skills. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative and high-quality product designs. The candidate should be capable of deep diving into Product Lifecycle Management processes to support design, development, and release activities, ensuring design integrity and efficiency throughout the product development cycle.

Our Team

This team provides global engineering support for the BiPass product line, liquid cooling solutions, and drop-down heatsinks. The position will be part of this engineering team within Molex India Business Services.

What You Will Do

• Utilize Siemens NX to create detailed 3D models, sheet metal components, and assemblies, ensuring accuracy, manufacturability, and compliance with design standards.




• Design and develop sheet metal parts and products, including enclosures, brackets, panels, and welded assemblies, considering forming, bending, punching, and fabrication processes.
• Collaborate with supervisors and cross-functional teams to interpret technical requirements and customer needs, translating them into optimized 3D models, flat patterns, and 2D drawings.
• Apply sheet metal design principles such as bend allowances, K-factor, reliefs, tolerances, and GD&T; to ensure proper fit, form, and function.
• Generate and maintain engineering documentation, including bill of materials (BOMs), engineering change orders (ECOs), and release packages, using Teamcenter PLM.
• Manage CAD data, ensuring proper version control, configuration management, and data integrity within Teamcenter.
• Conduct design reviews and provide technical inputs to improve product performance, cost, and manufacturability.
