About the Role
We are looking for an experienced *Government Advisor* with a strong understanding of the political and government landscape, stakeholder engagement, and public affairs. The ideal candidate will have experience working closely with government stakeholders, political leaders, policymakers, public institutions, or political/public affairs organisations.
The role will involve providing strategic advice on government and political developments, stakeholder engagement, public positioning, and emerging opportunities. The candidate should be well-connected, politically aware, and capable of translating complex developments into transparent, actionable advice for clients.
Key Responsibilities
* Advise clients on government, political, policy, and regulatory developments that may impact their interests or objectives.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with government stakeholders, policymakers, political leaders, bureaucrats, advisors, and other key decision-makers
* Monitor and analyse developments across the political,
government, policy, and regulatory landscape and provide timely insights and strategic recommendations.
* Identify relevant opportunities for stakeholder engagement, government outreach, policy conversations, and institutional relationships.
* Support clients in developing and executing government and public affairs strategies.
* Facilitate relevant introductions and engagements with government and political stakeholders, where appropriate.
* Advise on positioning and messaging around policy issues, government initiatives, and emerging political developments.
* Work closely with internal teams to develop briefs, talking points, background notes, stakeholder maps, and strategic recommendations.
* Track key policy and legislative developments and assess their potential implications for clients.
