Reporting: Management designated IT or Operations Lead, working closely with the AI vertical and Finance.
Role:Support the AI transformation of a 22 year old PR and digital communications organisation while keeping its everyday technology reliable, secure and cost effective. The role combines hands on hardware and software management with maintenance of websites, intranet and business portals, disciplined adoption of AI, and support for the recent AI vertical.
1. Hardware procurement and lifecycle management· Assess requirements and procure laptops, desktops, creative workstations, servers or network storage, networking equipment, printers, conferencing equipment, peripherals and power backup systems against approved budgets.
· Compare specifications, compatibility, warranties, support commitments and total ownership costs; maintain vendor quotations, purchase records, asset assignments,



warranties, software licences and renewal calendars.
· Install, configure, diagnose, repair and upgrade devices; manage preventive maintenance, spare equipment, secure employee on boarding and off boarding, and responsible disposal after verified data erasure.
· Plan hardware capacity for design, video, analytics and AI workloads, evaluating cloud services versus local processing before recommending higher specification or GPU equipment.
2 IT operations and employee support·Manage operating systems, productivity applications, email, endpoint administration, LAN, Wi Fi, internet links, routers, firewalls, VPN and remote access across locations.
·Administer Microsoft 365, Windows and relevant database services; support macOS and creative applications where used. Manage identities, permissions, licences, updates and compatibility issues.
