About The Team
The Credit Analytics team sits at the heart of OakNorth's lending business, providing rigorous financial analysis and credit assessment across a diverse portfolio of commercial loan opportunities. We work closely with Debt Directors, Risk, and client-facing teams in the UK to ensure every lending decision is underpinned by deep analytical insight and a thorough understanding of the borrower's operating environment.
About The Role
We're looking for a Senior Associate to join our Credit Analytics team, taking ownership of detailed loan analysis across sectors and geographies. You'll build financial models, draft concise and well-structured credit reports, conduct sensitivity and stress testing, and engage directly with clients to discuss data and analytical frameworks.
This is a high-impact role for someone who combines solid financial acumen with sharp communication skills and a genuine curiosity for business and markets.
What You'll Do
• Conduct detailed analysis of loan opportunities across various sectors and geographies, developing a thorough understanding of each borrower's business and operating environment.
• Draft concise, well-structured credit reports with clear key takeaways for Credit and Risk to review and comment on.
• Build detailed financial models covering transaction details, financial statement analysis, projections, ratio analysis, and credit metrics.
• Conduct sensitivity analysis and stress testing on projections to assess loan serviceability under adverse scenarios.
• Identify deal-specific covenants that can serve as early warning signals for loan monitoring purposes.
