Role Description The Chief Engineer role is a full-time, in office position based at Sayaji Hotels in Rajkot. This role oversees all engineering and maintenance operations for the property, including HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, fire safety, and building infrastructure. The Chief Engineer leads the engineering team,



plans preventive and corrective maintenance schedules, and ensures minimal downtime of equipment and utilities. Day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring energy consumption, optimizing operational efficiency, coordinating with vendors and contractors, and maintaining statutory compliance and safety standards. The role collaborates closely with hotel leadership to support guest comfort, manage budgets for engineering projects, and drive continuous improvements in sustainability and asset management.
Qualifications
• Strong expertise in hotel engineering operations, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP) systems, HVAC, and building maintenance.
• Sound knowledge of fire safety, occupational health and safety standards, and local regulatory and statutory compliance relevant to hospitality.
