Manager – US Individual, Trust & Estate Tax and Foreign Reporting

Role Summary
Lead the delivery of US individual income tax returns (Form 1040), trust and estate income tax returns (Form 1041), and related foreign information reporting. The Manager will own engagement delivery, technical review, client relationships, capacity planning, and team development while maintaining quality and meeting deadlines across multiple US CPA firms.

Key Responsibilities:
Technical Review and Quality
• Lead the review of complex individual returns involving investment income, rental activities, business income, pass-through entities, foreign income, and multistate reporting.
• Review trust and estate income tax returns, including fiduciary accounting considerations, distributable net income, income distributions, beneficiary allocations, and Schedule K-1 reporting.
• Oversee applicable foreign reporting, including Forms 1116, 2555, 8938, 8621, 5471, 8865, 8858, 3520, 3520-A, and FinCEN Form 114 (FBAR), Form 926, Form 1118, Subpart F & Form 8992 NCTI (formerly GILTI) calculations.




• Oversee and review basic to moderately complex partnership (Form 1065) and S corporation (Form 1120S) returns, escalating complex technical matters to Business Tax specialists.

• Assess foreign reporting requirements based on client facts and coordinate with international tax specialists on complex matters.
• Resolve technical issues, review research and documented positions, and communicate significant judgments to US engagement teams.
• Establish appropriate review coverage based on return complexity and skilled readiness.
• Investigate recurring errors and implement corrective actions, targeted training, and quality improvements.

Client and Engagement Management
• Serve as a primary contact for assigned US CPA firms and lead discussions on delivery, quality, open items, and upcoming demand.
