2. JOB PURPOSE :

To efficiently manage the assigned procurement activities from purchase
Enquiry through quotation evaluation, negotiation, purchase order, supplier
Follo-up, material delivery and MIS reporting, ensuring timely availability of material at the right quality, quantity, cost and delivery schedule, in accordance with company policies and procedure.

3. Key Result Areas (KRAs)

KRA-1 – Purchase Enquiry & Sourcing

. Receive purchase requisition from concerned departments
. Verify material description, Specification, quantity and required delivery date.
. Float enquiries to approved suppliers.
. Obtain and evaluate supplier quotation.
. Develop current and alternate sources as required.

KRA 2 – Commercial Evaluation & Negotiation

Prepare Comparative Statements (CS).
. Evaluate price, GST, Freight, payment terms, credit period and delivery terms.
. Negotiate with suppliers to achieve competitive commercial terms.
. Monitor market price movement and supplier price revisions.
. Support cost-reduction initiatives.

KRA 3 – Purchase Order Management.

. Prepare Purchase Order as per approved requirements.
. Ensure accuracy of quantity, specification, price, Taxes, freight, Payment
Terms and delivery schedule.
. Obtain necessary approvals before release of Purchase Order.
. Obtain supplier order confirmation and maintain records.

KRA 4 – Supplier Follow-up & Material Availability.

. Monitor open Purchase Orders and committed delivery dates.
. Follow up with suppliers for timely dispatch.
. Co-ordinate with Stores, Production, QA/Qc & Logistics.
. Identify delayed/critical materials and escalate them to the Purchase HOD
