Role Overview
The Legal Associate will support the Regional Legal SPOC – Europe & USA in managing regional legal matters, contracts, compliance requirements, and legal projects. The role will work closely with business teams, lawyers, and external counsel across multiple legal areas.

Legal Associate
Qualification: Law Degree
Experience: 3 to 5 years

Key Responsibilities
1. Legal & Compliance- USA and Europe
• Support the Regional Legal SPOC on Corporate Law & Secretarial, Commercial Law, Contracts, EHS, and Employment Law matters.
• Coordinate with business stakeholders and external counsel on legal matters and ensure timely follow-up and closure.
• Maintain legal records, matter trackers, statutory documentation, notices, and compliance action items.
• Conduct legal research and monitor relevant legal and regulatory developments.

2. Contracts- USA, Europe and global
• Draft, review, negotiate, and coordinate commercial contracts in collaboration with the internal/external stakeholders.
• Track key contractual obligations, expiries, and other critical milestones.

Data Protection & Privacy Framework- Global
• Support the development of the Data Protection & Privacy framework from the ground up, in collaboration with lawyers and relevant business functions.
• Assist in developing privacy policies, procedures, templates, compliance processes.
• Monitor regulatory developments and support ongoing privacy compliance.
• Conduct/co-ordinate training, awareness, monitoring, and compliance activities.

4. Antitrust / Competition Law Framework- Global
• Support the development and implementation of the Antitrust / Competition Law compliance framework in collaboration with lawyers.
• Assist in developing policies, guidelines, procedures, and compliance controls.
• Support review of business practices and commercial arrangements from a competition law perspective.
• Conduct/co-ordinate training, awareness, monitoring, and compliance activities.
