What you’ll do:
Eaton announced, on June 11, 20206, the intent to combine its Mobility Group (including both the Vehicle and eMobility segments) with a new company. We expect to complete this process by the end of the first half of 2027. The compensation and perks that will initially be offered for this position are based on Eaton's plans, programs and practices. If you are offered and accept this position and are actively employed by the Mobility Group when the transaction closes, the new company will provide further details to employees concerning compensation and benefits at that time.
This position is part of the Vehicle Controls Product Line engineering team and supports the mechanical design and development of rugged operator-control products for on-road and off-road vehicles and commercial mobile equipment. Products include rocker, toggle, push-button, key-lock, and rotary switches; indicators; multiplexed keypad and electronic switch modules; operator-control and human-machine interface products; and vehicle input/output modules.
The engineer will translate customer and system requirements into robust mechanical concepts, detailed designs, drawings, and product-validation plans. The role supports the full product-development cycle—from requirements review and concept selection through design release, verification, validation, production launch, and lifecycle support—while collaborating with electronics, systems, software, manufacturing, quality, sourcing, suppliers, and global engineering teams.
