We are seeking an experienced Staff Software Engineer with strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, AWS Cloud, Next.js, and CI/CD practices. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting enterprise-grade Trade Finance applications while driving technical excellence, platform scalability, and engineering best practices.

This role combines hands-on software engineering, cloud-native development, architecture contribution, mentoring, and cross-functional leadership to deliver secure and scalable digital banking solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Full Stack Development

- Design and develop scalable enterprise applications using Java and Spring Boot.
- Build and maintain cloud-native microservices and RESTful APIs.
- Develop modern user experiences using Next.js and React ecosystem technologies.
- Implement Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) APIs and service domain models.
- Ensure seamless integration between frontend and backend services.

Backend Engineering

- Design and implement high-performance microservices.
- Develop secure and scalable REST APIs.
- Optimize application performance, reliability, and maintainability.
- Follow clean code principles and software design patterns.

AWS Cloud Development

- Design and deploy applications on AWS cloud.

- Work with services including:

- EC2
- Lambda
- S3
- SNS

- Support cloud-native application architectures and modernization initiatives.

- Implement security, scalability, and operational best practices.

DevOps & Platform Engineering

- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using:

- GitHub Actions
- TeamCity

- Support automation, deployment, monitoring, and release processes.

- Utilize observability tools such as:

- Grafana
- Prometheus





- Drive engineering efficiency through automation and tool adoption.

Technical Leadership

- Participate in architecture and solution design discussions.
- Review code and enforce engineering standards.
- Lead technical decision-making and platform improvements.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers.
- Drive best practices around scalability, performance, and software quality.

Collaboration & Delivery

- Work closely with Product Managers, Designers, Architects, and Engineering teams.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and sprint planning.
- Own technical deliveries and resolve complex engineering challenges.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and innovation.

- Minimum 12+ years of software development experience.
