Role & responsibilities

- Develop detailed project plans, schedules, milestones and resource requirements for complete die development projects.
- Plan and control activities covering engineering, simulation, procurement, machining, assembly, tryout, correction, inspection and customer approval.
- Establish project WBS, critical path, milestones and interdependencies.
- Monitor daily/weekly progress against baseline plans and identify deviations.
- Track key project deliverables including design release, steel procurement, machining completion, die assembly, T0/T1/T2 tryouts, dimensional approval and final delivery.
- Identify project risks, delays and bottlenecks and initiate corrective/preventive actions.
- Coordinate closely with Design, CAE, Manufacturing, Purchase, Tool Room, Quality, Logistics and Customer teams and serve as single point of contact for customers
- Maintain project dashboards covering schedule, cost, capacity, manpower and risk status.
- Conduct regular project review meetings and escalate critical issues to management.




- Analyse planned vs. actual hours, cost and productivity and support corrective actions.
- Manage project changes and assess their impact on cost, capacity and delivery.
- Develop and maintain project-control systems, standard KPIs and reporting formats.
- Drive continuous improvement in project lead time, resource utilization and on-time delivery.
- Support management in capacity planning and order loading / resource allocation.

Preferred candidate profile

- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, Industrial Engineering or related discipline.
- 812+ years of experience in automotive tooling/die development.
- Solid understanding of stamping die development and tool-room processes.
- Proficiency in MS Project / Primavera / Excel / Power BI or equivalent planning tools.
- Experience in project management, scheduling, capacity planning and management reporting.
