Northern Extracts manufactures oleoresins, essential oils and herbal extracts for the food, flavour, fragrance and nutraceutical industries, serving domestic and international markets.

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Purchase Executive to manage procurement, vendor coordination, material planning, inventory availability and purchase documentation for our manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Procure raw materials, botanical materials, essential oil ingredients, packaging materials, chemicals and consumables.
- Source quotations, compare prices, negotiate commercial terms and prepare Purchase Orders (POs).
- Follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and material availability.
- Maintain and develop the approved vendor/supplier base and identify alternate suppliers.
- Coordinate with Production, Planning, QA/QC, R&D;, Stores and Finance for material requirements.
- Monitor minimum/maximum stock levels, safety stock, excess and slow-moving inventory.
- Prepare and monitor MRP/material requirements and identify potential shortages in advance.
- Ensure procurement as per approved specifications and coordinate COA, MSDS/SDS, food-grade, allergen and origin documentation.
- Maintain batch/lot traceability, FIFO/FEFO and proper material identification.
- Coordinate with Stores for material receipt, GRN, inspection, rejection, returns and stock reconciliation.
- Maintain purchase records including PR,



RFQ, quotation comparison, PO, GRN and supplier records.
- Coordinate PO/GRN/invoice matching with Finance.
- Monitor supplier performance based on quality, price, lead time, delivery and rejection rates.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction, better commercial terms and purchase optimization.
- Support internal and external audits and procurement documentation.

Qualification & Experience

- Graduate/Diploma in Supply Chain, Logistics, Commerce, Operations or related field.
- 4 to 5+ years of experience in Purchase/Procurement, preferably in a manufacturing company.
- Experience in Food, Herbal, Chemical, Pharmaceutical, FMCG or similar manufacturing industries will be preferred.
- Working knowledge of ERP-based purchasing and inventory transactions.
- Strong numerical, analytical and documentation skills.

Preferred Candidate

- Jaipur-based candidates preferred
- Age 30 years and above
- Self-motivated, disciplined and responsible
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing-oriented environment
