Job Responsibilities

Education and Experience

- Degree: Graduate Engineer in Chemical Engineering from a reputed institute.

- Experience: 10-12 years in process optimization, focusing on:
- Improvement of raw material (RM) and utility consumption.
- Enhancing quality, yield, and throughput of products.
- Improving safety and sustainability of processes.
- Proven track record of achievements in these areas.

Key Responsibilities

- Process Knowledge: Solid theoretical and practical knowledge of various unit operations:
- Batch distillation
- Stripping
- Crystallization
- Drying

- Production Insight: Keen insight into the production process with the ability to identify issues before they escalate.

- Documentation: Ensure accurate and organized process documentation for:
- Change management
- Lab/pilot trials
- Trial production
- Commercial production

- Continuous Improvement: Make ongoing improvements and adjustments to maintain efficient operations.

- Project Management: Coordinate and manage key process improvement/change projects.

- Re-engineering:



Facilitate process re-engineering in coordination with relevant stakeholders.

- Resource Efficiency: Devise efficient and effective resource usage for optimal product quality and high process safety.

Technical Skills

- Chemical Calculations: Expertise in chemical calculations.
- Data Handling: Proficient in data gathering and presentation.
- Learning Agility: Ability to learn quickly and deliver results in a timely manner.
- Leadership: Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to develop goals and actions for performance improvement.
- Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills with the capability to implement process improvements from concept through project completion (project management skills).
- Stakeholder Communication: Effective communication with stakeholders regarding projects and initiatives, making recommendations for change, including process redesign and business case development.
- Commissioning Experience: Experience in greenfield plant commissioning is an added advantage.
