Product Content Specialist – E-commerce
Experience: 2–4 Years Employment Type: Full time Remote Department: E-commerce / Product Content Level: Mid
Happet Sp. z o.o. is a Poland-based manufacturer and distributor of pet and pond products, serving the EU and Eastern Europe with over 3,000 branded items. We are currently hiring directly to grow our remote operations team in India.
About the RoleWe are looking for a Product Content Specialist to take ownership of how our products are presented across all our sales channels — Amazon EU, our own online shop, and our B2B platforms.
This is not a copywriting role. We already generate a large volume of product text and images, increasingly with the help of AI tools. What we need is someone who decides whether that content is good enough to publish.
You will own the standard. You will define what a complete, correct, high-quality product page looks like, check content against that standard, reject what does not meet it, and make sure the same product looks consistent everywhere it is sold.
The hardest part of this job is saying "no" to work that other people have already done. If that sounds uncomfortable, this is not the right role for you.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and maintain the content standard for our product catalogue — what every product page must contain in terms of title, bullet points, description, attributes, and images.
- Review and approve or reject product content before it goes live, including AI-generated text and images.
- Verify that product content matches the actual product specification. Catching a wrong measurement, capacity, or material claim is a core part of this job.
- Keep content synchronized across channels so the same product is described consistently on Amazon, our online shop, and B2B platforms.
- Adapt content requirements per channel — what works on Amazon is not what works on a B2B wholesale platform.
- Audit the existing catalogue for missing, outdated, or incorrect content, and prioritize what gets fixed first based on sales impact.
- Work with large product data files in Excel/Google Sheets and with bulk upload tools.
- Write clear, specific feedback on rejected content so the person or tool producing it improves next time.
- Coordinate with our product, photography, and marketplace teams in Poland and India.
- Report on catalogue coverage and content quality with numbers, not impressions.
- Gradually take responsibility for the full content quality of specific brands, categories, or channels.
How to Stand Out and Get Hired at Resume Review
- Be honest.
- Tell good insight.
- Show us a product page you improved and tell us why the change mattered.
- Share outcome or conclusions thoughts.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 2 years of proven experience working with product listings or product catalogues in e-commerce.
- Hands-on experience with Amazon EU or Amazon US. Amazon India experience alone is less relevant to us, but it still counts.
- Experience working with a large catalogue — hundreds or thousands of SKUs, not a handful of products.
- Comfortable with Excel or Google Sheets at an operational level: lookups, filters, and working with large CSV or XLSX files without breaking them.
- Strong written English. Our source content is in English and is then adapted for other EU markets.
- Very strong attention to detail. This is the single most important requirement.
- Ability to judge quality and explain the judgement — not just say something feels wrong, but say exactly which rule it breaks.
- Comfortable working with AI tools as part of the process rather than seeing them as a threat.
- Ability to work independently after receiving proper instructions.
- A problem-solving mindset.
Nice to have: experience with a PIM system, product SEO, Amazon A+ Content, flat files, or the pet, aquarium, or garden category.
What Matters Most to Us
We are not looking for someone who already knows our products or our markets.
We are looking for someone who:
- Notices the small error everyone else missed.
- Can turn their own good taste into a written rule someone else can follow.
- Is willing to reject work, politely and with a clear reason, including work that came from someone more senior.
- Takes responsibility and does not need to be reminded repeatedly about deadlines.
- Can research and find answers independently.
- Accepts feedback and improves.
- Has the potential to grow into ownership of our full product content operation.
Growth Path
Product Content Specialist → Product Content Lead (owning the standard across all EU channels and guiding a small team) → Head of Product Content.
We are building this function from the ground up. The person who takes this role will shape how it works.
