Job Summary

The Senior Associate – Food & Beverage Service is responsible for delivering high-quality dining service to guests in restaurants, banquets, or other F&B; outlets. The role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, ensuring guest satisfaction, coordinating with kitchen and service teams, and maintaining service standards as per hotel policies.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Service & Table Management

- Greet guests warmly and escort them to tables when required.
- Present menus, explain dishes, and assist guests in making selections.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders and ensure timely service.

Food & Beverage Service
- Serve food and beverages according to hotel service standards.
- Ensure correct presentation, portioning, and temperature of food.
- Handle fine dining or buffet service depending on outlet requirements.
- Follow service sequence (order taking, serving, clearing, billing support).

Order Coordination
- Communicate orders clearly to kitchen/bar using POS or manual systems.
- Ensure special instructions, allergies, and preferences are followed.
- Track order progress and ensure timely delivery to guests.

Guest Satisfaction & Interaction
- Engage with guests professionally to ensure satisfaction.
- Handle guest queries and minor complaints efficiently.
- Ensure personalized service for VIP and repeat guests.

Outlet Operations Support




- Maintain cleanliness and setup of tables, service stations, and buffet areas.
- Ensure proper mise-en-place (preparation) before service starts.
- Assist in table turnover and seating management during peak hours.

Billing & POS Handling
- Assist in bill preparation and processing through POS systems.
- Ensure accuracy in billing and support cashier operations when needed.
- Handle cash/credit card transactions as per hotel policy (if assigned).

Hygiene & Safety Compliance
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards (HACCP guidelines).
- Ensure cleanliness of cutlery, crockery, and service areas.
- Maintain personal grooming and uniform standards.

Coordination with Kitchen & Other Departments
- Coordinate with kitchen team for order accuracy and special requests.
- Work with bar, stewarding, and housekeeping teams for smooth operations.
- Support banquet and event service when required.

Upselling & Revenue Contribution
- Promote daily specials, beverages, and premium menu items.
- Suggest additional items to enhance guest dining experience.
- Support F&B; revenue targets through upselling techniques.

Reporting & Documentation
- Assist in daily sales and service reports.
- Report operational issues or guest feedback to supervisors.
- Maintain service logs if required.
