Role Overview
The Test Engineer is responsible for ensuring that Pynk’s platform is reliable, secure, accurate, and ready for customer use. The role covers the complete employee lifecycle, including client onboarding, employee onboarding, compliance documentation, payroll, invoicing, approvals, immigration workflows, and reporting.
Key responsibilities
Understand business requirements
• Review product requirements, user stories, designs, and acceptance criteria.
• Understand EOR, payroll, compliance, invoicing, and employee onboarding workflows.
• Identify unclear requirements, missing scenarios, and operational risks before development begins.

Prepare test plans and test cases
• Create test plans for every feature and release.
• Prepare positive, negative, boundary, exception, and role-based test scenarios.
• Maintain reusable test cases and regression-testing checklists.





Perform functional testing
Test end-to-end workflows such as:
• Client registration and onboarding
• Employee onboarding and document submission
• Maker–Checker approvals
• Employment contract generation
• Payroll inputs and salary calculations
• Reimbursements, allowances, deductions, bonuses, and leave
• Customer invoicing, taxes, service fees, and currency calculations
• Employee offboarding and final settlement
• Notifications, reports, dashboards, and data exports

Validate payroll and financial accuracy
• Verify gross-to-net salary calculations.
• Validate statutory deductions, taxes, advantages, reimbursements, and employer costs.
• Confirm invoice values, exchange rates, service fees, and tax calculations.
• Test rounding rules, retroactive changes, prorated salaries, and correction payrolls.

Test APIs and integrations
• Validate APIs using suitable API-testing tools.
