As a Software Engineering Lead within Optum Technology, you will lead the design, development, and deployment of cutting-edge full-stack software solutions. In this role, you will leverage backend technologies such as Java or Python alongside frontend frameworks like React to build modern, scalable APIs and user interfaces. You will work in an agile, quality-driven environment incorporating automated testing, DevOps practices, continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines,



and containerized platform architectures.

Primary Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end design, development, and deployment of full-stack software applications utilizing React for frontend development and Java or Python for backend APIs
• Design, develop, and deploy AI-powered solutions and automated capabilities to address complex business challenges with an emphasis on responsible technology practices
• Leverage enterprise-approved automation and tools to streamline development workflows, optimize code quality, and drive continuous technical improvement
• Evaluate emerging trends and strategic innovations to inform architectural solution design and platform enhancement
• Manage and maintain CI/CD pipelines, containerized deployments, and cloud-native application infrastructure
• Implement robust automated testing frameworks and practices (e.g., TDD, JUnit, Jest) to enforce rigorous software quality
