JOB DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Responsible for implementing the Safety, Health and Environment Management programs in the plant.
- Spearheading the EHS improvements within the plant, Identifying, conceptualizing and implementing improvement projects related to EHS.
- Monitoring & measurement of EHS performance.
- Carrying out EHS Risk assessment and initiating corrective & preventive measures - Lead plant risk assessments, incident investigations, and environmental aspects- impact studies; mitigate critical risks in collaboration with plant managers.
- Conducting EHS audits, Internal & External audits.
- Drive initiatives for workplace safety, accident prevention, waste management, and sustainability practices.
- Champion ISO 14001 and 45001 management system requirements.
- Accident and incident investigations and analysis - Recording, Reporting, Investigations, Corrective measures and Analysis.
- Implementing the work permit systems for various activities and monitoring the effectiveness of the same.
- Responsible for the management of the contractor EHS requirements at site.
- Responsible for EHS compliance of new projects / processes or changes.
- Carrying out EHS trainings to the targeted employees and also capable of designing EHS training modules as per the requirements.
- Responsible for carrying out emergency response and mock drills in the plant. Other measures aimed at improved EHS culture.




- Support for statutory compliances related to Factory inspectorate & Pollution control board related to EHS. Prepare documentation and compliance reports for regulatory authorities and internal stakeholders.
- Responsible for monitoring the periodic inspection of fire detection and protection equipment.
- Responsible for periodic inspection of lifting tools, tackles, scaffolding, height works tools, construction machinery and pressure vessels.
- Monitor usage, availability, and maintenance of PPE.
- Lead safety committees and coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance and best practices.
- Contributing to the WCM Culture through various activities and driving Health & Safety, Workplace & Industrial Risk Prevention Pillar.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION: BE/B.Tech with Post Diploma in Industrial Safety from Regional Labour Institute/ NEBOSH

MINIMUM YEARS OF EXP: 5 to 7 yrs of relevant experience

NATURE OF EXPERIENCE:

Experience & knowledge of working in Environment, Health and Safety function in manufacturing industry preferrably in continuous process industry.

- Knowledge on ISO 14001 and 45001
- Working Experience & knowledge of EHS Legal requirements
- Understanding and hands on experience in EHS risk assessment methodolgy
- Knowledge to conduct training programs, audits & inspections
