Summary
The Manager, Engineering reports to the Director, Engineering and leads a team of software engineers who build and sustain the products Armor’s customers depend on. This role combines engineering leadership, technical oversight, and delivery ownership,
with responsibility for ensuring the team builds secure, scalable, reliable, and high-quality software.
The Manager is expected to have a strong software engineering background and enough technical depth to effectively guide engineering decisions, challenge solutions, participate in architecture and design discussions, and ensure engineering standards are maintained. While this role does not require the Manager to serve as the team’s primary technical mentor or write production code on a daily basis, the Manager must be technically credible and capable of working closely with senior engineers on complex technical challenges.
Armor is looking for an engineering leader who understands modern software development, cloud technologies, AI-assisted engineering, architecture, and production operations and can translate business priorities into successful engineering execution.
