Job Title:- Applications are invited for the post of Technical Officer (1 No.) at Department of Sugar Technology. Application should be submitted by Post or by Hand to VSI along with Photo copies of original Certificates, CV/Resume on or before 31st October 2026.
Job Profile:- Preparation of Process Validation Reports, technical reports and other departmental reports, including compilation and interpretation of relevant technical data and observations. Assist in collection, compilation and analysis of technical data required for ongoing research projects and support the execution of research-related activities. Undertake extension and advisory service visits to member and non-member sugar factories along with the Technical Adviser/Sr. Sugar Technologist/Sugar Technologist, and assist in conducting colour audit, technical assessment, data collection, process observations and providing technical guidance. Provide necessary technical and administrative assistance to senior officers in various departmental activities, including consultancy assignments, training programmes, technical studies, documentation and related work. Conduct practical sessions for students enrolled in various academic courses in the Student Laboratory of the Sugar Technology Department,
in accordance with the prescribed curriculum and training requirements. Conduct theory/practical sessions and technical demonstrations for students of regular academic courses as well as participants of special training programmes conducted by the Institute. Assist in maintaining and implementing the Quality Management System (QMS) of the department and possess working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 requirements and procedures.
Experience:- The candidates should have minimum 5 years experience in sugar Industry as lab chemist/Mfg. Chemist or equivalent position in any renowned sugar organization/ Institution.
Age Limit:- Not more than 40 years
Terms & Conditions:- The post carries prescribed pay-scale, DA, HRA and other advantages as per the rules of the Institute. No TA/DA will be provided if candidate called for Written/ Personal interview at Institute. The Decision of Selection Committee of the Institute shall be final.
