Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced and reliable Fire Hydrant Technician to join our team in Taloja, Navi Mumbai. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, routine inspection, testing, repair, and maintenance of our facility's fire hydrant systems, wet risers, sprinklers, and fire water pumps to ensure 100% operational readiness and compliance with safety regulations.Key Responsibilities
Routine Inspections: Conduct weekly, monthly, and quarterly checks on fire hydrant networks, landing valves, hose reels, and branch pipes.
Testing & Maintenance: Perform regular pressure testing, flushing of hydrant lines, and servicing of water monitors and air release valves.
Pump Room Operations: Operate and maintain main fire pumps, jockey pumps, and diesel engine-driven backup pumps. Monitor water levels in storage tanks.
Fault Rectification: Identify and repair system leaks, replace damaged gaskets/washers, and fix faulty valves or pipelines.
Emergency Readiness: Ensure all fire hoses are properly rolled, dry, and correctly placed in hose boxes for immediate emergency use.
Documentation: Maintain exact logbooks of all inspection results, pressure metrics,



system defects, and repair actions taken.

Required Skills & Qualifications
Education: ITI Certification or Diploma in Fire & Safety, Mechanical Engineering, or Plumbing.
Experience: 2 to 5 years of hands-on experience working specifically with fire hydrant and sprinkler systems (experience in an industrial/MIDC plant or large warehouse is highly preferred).
Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of fire line piping layouts, pressure gauges, landing valves, and pump control panels.
Physical Fitness: Ability to handle high-pressure fire hoses, climb ladders, and lift heavy equipment when required.
Language: Functional knowledge of Hindi and Marathi is preferred for local coordination.
