Service Recovery & Grievance Redressal: Acts as the primary point of escalation for distressed patients or attendants. They investigate complaints regarding billing delays, staff behavior, or service gaps and implement immediate fixes.
Critical Incident Escalation: Uses qualified judgment to determine when an incident (such as a legal issue, patient death under unusual circumstances, or severe infrastructure failure) warrants waking up or alerting on-call executives and Head of Departments (HODs).
Policy & Protocol Enforcement: Ensures that on-duty night/shift staff strictly adhere to standard operating procedures (SOPs), patient safety guidelines, infection control protocols, and general hospital discipline.
Documentation & Shift Handover: Maintains the official MOD shift logbook. They record all significant incidents, equipment failures, and unresolved patient complaints, delivering a comprehensive written shift report to the incoming morning management team to ensure continuity of care.
