Experience: 3–5 years, preferably in manufacturing
Qualification: B.Com / M.Com or equivalent
About the Role
We are looking for a Factory Accountant to manage daily factory accounting, maintain accurate financial and inventory records, and coordinate with the Head Office Accounts, Purchase, Stores and Production teams.
Key Responsibilities
Record purchase invoices, expenses, payments and other daily transactions in the accounting system.
Verify supplier bills against purchase orders and goods receipt notes before processing.
Maintain vendor ledgers and reconcile outstanding balances.
Handle petty cash, bank reconciliation and factory expense records.
Reconcile raw materials, work-in-progress and finished goods with Stores and Production records.
Support product costing and track material consumption, wastage and production expenses.
Prepare GST and TDS workings and support applicable filings with the Head Office Accounts team.
Verify labour contractor bills, attendance and supporting documents in coordination with HR.
Prepare monthly reports on expenses, inventory discrepancies and pending payments.
Maintain documentation and support audits and month-end closing.
Required Skills
Proficiency in Tally Prime or a similar ERP and MS Excel.
Knowledge of GST, TDS, purchase accounting and inventory accounting.
Understanding of manufacturing accounts and basic product costing.
Solid attention to detail, integrity and coordination skills.
Manufacturing or factory accounting experience will be preferred.
