Role & responsibilities
Identify, evaluate, and develop suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery performance.
Manage procurement of raw materials, bought-out parts, consumables, and services.
Negotiate prices, contracts, and commercial terms with suppliers.
Ensure timely material availability to meet production schedules.
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with planning and stores teams.
Develop alternate sources and implement cost reduction initiatives.
Track supplier performance and drive continuous improvement.
Coordinate with quality, production, logistics, and finance teams.
Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and automotive industry standards.
Prepare procurement MIS reports, cost-saving reports, and supplier performance reviews.
