Role & responsibilities
Perform microbiological testing of pharmaceutical, food, water, cosmetic, and other samples as per approved SOPs and applicable standards.
Conduct TAMC, TYMC, pathogen testing, sterility testing, microbial limit tests and other microbiological analyses.
Handle and maintain microbiology laboratory equipment, including autoclave, incubator, BOD incubator, colony counter, microscope, etc.
Prepare and maintain culture media, reagents and test solutions.
Perform setting monitoring, water testing and surface/air monitoring, where applicable.
Maintain proper laboratory records, worksheets, test reports and documentation.
Ensure compliance with NABL/ISO 17025, GMP, GLP and internal quality procedures.
Perform media preparation, sterilization, culture maintenance and microbial identification.




Investigate OOS/OOT results, deviations and non-conformances and support CAPA implementation.
Ensure proper sample handling, storage and disposal as per SOPs.
Participate in method validation/verification, proficiency testing and internal/external audits.
Maintain cleanliness, safety and biosafety practices within the microbiology laboratory

Preferred candidate profile
Solid knowledge of microbiological testing and laboratory practices.
Hands-on experience with NABL-accredited laboratory testing preferred.
Knowledge of ISO 17025/NABL documentation and compliance.
Valuable documentation and reporting skills.
