Maintenance Engineer – Plant Maintenance

Job Summary

We are looking for a Maintenance Engineer to ensure the reliable and productive operation of plant machinery, equipment, and utilities. The role will focus on preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance while ensuring safety, quality, and minimum equipment downtime.

Key Responsibilities
Plan and execute preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of plant machinery, utilities, and associated equipment.
Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, instrumentation, and automation-related breakdowns and coordinate with specialists whenever required.
Monitor equipment performance and identify recurring failures, abnormalities, and improvement opportunities.
Ensure timely completion of preventive maintenance schedules and maintain accurate maintenance records.
Coordinate the installation, commissioning, modification, and trial runs of new machinery and equipment.
Coordinate with Production, Quality, EHS, Stores, and external agencies for smooth maintenance operations.




Monitor critical spare parts, tools, and consumables and ensure their timely availability.
Analyse equipment breakdowns and implement corrective and preventive actions to reduce downtime.
Support maintenance cost-control initiatives, energy-efficiency programs, and plant improvement projects.
Maintain proper housekeeping and maintenance standards across plant and utility areas.
Ensure all maintenance activities are carried out in accordance with applicable safety and quality standards.

Required Qualifications
Diploma / B.Tech / BE in Mechanical, Electrical, or Instrumentation Engineering.
Experience: 0–5 years.
Solid interest in plant maintenance and equipment troubleshooting.
Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams and external agencies.
Willingness to work in a plant/manufacturing workplace.
