Job Title: Backend Developer - Go / Golang

Location: Pune

Experience: 5-8 Years

Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and microservices using Go (Golang), including APIs and inter-service communication.
- Build data-driven services using cloud-native databases and distributed data stores.
- Develop resilient distributed workflows and background processing using workflow orchestration platforms.
- Implement caching and high-performance data-access patterns for scalable backend applications.
- Integrate backend services with APIs, real-time messaging platforms, and distributed-system components.
- Build automated unit, integration, and API tests, and contribute to reliability, observability, security, and production troubleshooting.
- Use AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor, Claude, and GitHub Copilot to accelerate development, testing, debugging, and code reviews.
- Participate in technical design, code reviews, and continuous improvement of backend engineering practices.

Qualifications & Required Skills

- 5-8 years of software development experience with solid hands-on expertise in Go (Golang).
- Strong knowledge of Go concepts, including concurrency, goroutines, channels, interfaces, context handling, and idiomatic Go development.




- Experience building REST APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.
- Understanding of error handling, retries, idempotency, timeouts, and asynchronous processing.
- Experience working with NoSQL databases, automated testing, Git, CI/CD, observability, API security, and production troubleshooting.
- Practical experience using AI-assisted development tools in day-to-day engineering workflows.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Mandatory Skills

- Go (Golang) & Microservices | REST APIs & Distributed Systems | AI-Assisted Development Tools (Cursor, Claude, GitHub Copilot)

Good to Have Skills

- Experience with GCP Firestore, MongoDB Atlas, Elastic Cloud/Elasticsearch, Redis, or Valkey.
- Experience with Temporal or similar workflow orchestration platforms.
- Knowledge of Centrifugo, WebSockets, gRPC, Protocol Buffers, or OpenAPI/Swagger.
- Experience modernizing or integrating with legacy Python services.
- Experience developing AI-enabled capabilities or integrating AI/ML models, LLMs, or AI services into production products.
- Experience working with large-scale SaaS or cloud-native distributed systems.
