Job Overview
We are looking for a skilled CATIA V5 Fixture Design Engineer with experience in fixture design principles, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T;), and mechanical design. Experience in checking fixture design will be an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop fixtures using CATIA V5.
- Apply fixture design principles to develop effective and manufacturable designs.
- Interpret engineering drawings and apply GD&T; standards.
- Create and modify 3D models and 2D engineering drawings.
- Ensure fixture designs meet dimensional accuracy, quality, and functional requirements.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, production, and quality teams to resolve design-related issues.
- Review designs for manufacturability,
assembly, and inspection requirements.
Required Skills
- Hands-on experience with CATIA V5.
- Solid knowledge of fixture design principles.
- Good understanding of GD&T; and engineering drawings.
- Experience in mechanical design and 3D modelling.
- Ability to understand design specifications and manufacturing requirements.
Good to Have
- Experience in checking fixture design.
- Knowledge of inspection fixtures and dimensional measurement requirements.
- Exposure to automotive or manufacturing industry projects.
Candidate Requirements
- Overall experience: 25 years.
- Relevant fixture design experience: 1–2 years preferred.
