Role & responsibilities :

- Diagnose, evaluate, and manage patients with general surgical conditions.
- Assist and independently perform elective and emergency surgical procedures as per competency.
- Provide pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative patient care.
- Attend emergency calls, trauma cases, and surgical emergencies on a rotational basis.
- Conduct daily ward rounds and monitor patient progress.
- Evaluate OPD and IPD patients, formulate treatment plans, and maintain accurate medical records.
- Coordinate with consultants, anesthesiologists, nursing staff, and other departments for comprehensive patient care.
- Ensure adherence to hospital protocols, infection control practices, and patient safety standards.
- Supervise and guide junior residents, interns, and nursing staff when required.
- Participate in clinical meetings, CMEs, audits, quality improvement initiatives, and academic activities.




- Maintain valid medical documentation and comply with applicable statutory and accreditation standards.
- Provide patient and family counseling regarding treatment plans, surgical procedures, and post-operative care.

Preferred candidate profile:

- Qualification: MS/DNB in General Surgery from a recognized institution.
- Experience: 03 years as a Senior Resident/Registrar in General Surgery.
- Registration: Valid KMC registration is mandatory.
- Robust clinical knowledge and surgical skills in managing elective and emergency cases.
- Ability to work in rotational shifts, including night duties and on-call responsibilities.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient management skills.
- Immediate joiners will be preferred.
