Job Title: Fire Safety Officer

Location: KL University, Hyderabad Bachupally Campus

Roles & Responsibilities

- Ensure fire safety and emergency preparedness across academic blocks, laboratories, hostels, offices, and other campus facilities.
- Conduct regular inspections of fire extinguishers, fire alarms, hydrants, sprinklers, emergency exits, and other fire safety equipment.
- Ensure fire safety systems are accessible, functional, and maintained as per applicable safety standards.
- Conduct fire risk assessments and identify potential fire hazards across the campus.
- Organize fire safety awareness programmes, emergency evacuation drills, and training sessions for students, faculty, and staff.
- Develop, implement, and periodically review fire emergency response and evacuation plans.
- Coordinate with maintenance, security, administration, and external fire and emergency services when required.
- Maintain fire safety inspection reports, equipment maintenance records,



incident reports, and compliance documentation.
- Ensure emergency routes, staircases, assembly points, and fire exits remain transparent and accessible.
- Support statutory inspections, safety audits, and compliance with applicable fire safety regulations.
- Conduct regular safety briefings and ensure employees understand emergency response procedures.

Required Qualifications & Skills

- Diploma or degree in Fire & Safety, Fire Engineering, Industrial Safety, or a relevant discipline.
- Relevant fire safety certification and practical experience in fire prevention and emergency management.
- Knowledge of fire safety equipment, evacuation procedures, risk assessment, and applicable regulations.
- Strong communication, coordination, documentation, and emergency response skills.
