Job Summary

Responsible for performing pulmonary function tests to assess patients lung capacity and respiratory function, ensuring accurate test results, patient safety, and proper equipment maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

1. Perform pulmonary function tests, including spirometry, lung volume testing, and diffusion capacity (DLCO), as applicable.
2. Prepare patients for tests and explain the procedure clearly.
3. Operate and maintain PFT equipment according to hospital protocols.
4. Ensure accurate patient identification and test data entry.
5. Monitor patients during procedures and report any discomfort or abnormalities to the concerned physician.
6. Maintain proper calibration, cleaning, and disinfection of equipment.
7. Ensure compliance with infection control,



patient safety, and hospital quality standards.
8. Maintain test reports, patient records, and departmental documentation.
9. Coordinate with pulmonologists and other clinical staff for timely investigations.
10. Follow hospital policies and applicable NABH quality and safety protocols.

Qualifications & Experience

- Qualification: Diploma / B.Sc. in Respiratory Therapy, Respiratory Care Technology, or relevant Allied Health Sciences.
- Experience: 13 years of experience in PFT or respiratory diagnostics preferred.
