About the Role
We are looking for a Database Administrator (DBA) with strong hands-on experience in database management and data migration. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining database performance, availability, security, and integrity across production environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage, monitor, and maintain databases in production environments.
- Perform data migration, database upgrades, and data validation.
- Handle database backup, recovery, and troubleshooting.
- Monitor and optimize database performance and SQL queries.
- Manage database users, roles, permissions, and security.
- Identify and resolve database-related issues.
- Support application and development teams with database requirements.
- Perform database maintenance and ensure high availability.
- Prepare and maintain database documentation and procedures.
Required Skills:
- 2-4 years of experience in Database Administration.
- Hands-on Data Migration experience is mandatory.
- Robust knowledge of SQL and database concepts.
- Experience with backup, recovery, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
- Valuable understanding of database security and access management.
- Experience working with production databases.
- Robust analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good to Have:
- Experience with Oracle / SQL Server / PostgreSQL / MySQL.
- Exposure to cloud databases such as AWS RDS or Azure SQL.
- Knowledge of database monitoring, replication, and high-availability solutions.
- Basic scripting knowledge.
